Recent publications of the Digital Music Fragmentology research group."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">A new book series started with the contribution of the Department of Early Music History\u2019s and the HAS Momentum \u2013 Digital Music Fragmentology Research Team\u2019s members titled <i>Resonemus partier \u2013 Studies in Medieval Music History<\/i> edited by Zsuzsa Czag\u00e1ny. The bilingual series on the one hand fits into the Institute\u2019s and the Department\u2019s traditionally published \u201cworkshop studies\u201d, on the other hand \u2013 somewhat altering the conception of those \u2013 provides monographic works on a single medieval source or a group of sources in each volume.<i> <\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In the series\u2019 first volume (<i>Mosaics of the plainchant tradition of Transylvania. Interpreting the 14<\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i><sup>th<\/sup><\/i><\/span><i>-century antiphoner fragments at G\u00fcssing<\/i>) by Gabriella Gil\u00e1nyi fragments of a 14<span class=\"s1\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span>-century Transylvanian antiphonal are published first in facsimile edition, with the transcription of chants accompanied by a detailed analysis in Hungarian and English. The book was published with the kind permission of the G\u00fcssing Franciscan monastery. The editor\u2019s introduction to the issue can be read <a href=\"https:\/\/zti.hu\/files\/regizene\/lendulet\/A_szerkeszto_eloszava_Gilanyi.pdf\"><span class=\"s2\">here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The second volume by G\u00e1briel Szoliva (<i>Hymnuale Ecclesiae Zagrabiensis. Traditionalism and Innovation in the Early 15<\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i><sup>th<\/sup><\/i><\/span><i>-Century Hymnal of Zagreb Cathedral<\/i>) presents a hymnal of the Metropolitan Library, Zagreb from the beginning of the 15<span class=\"s1\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span>-century exhaustively providing the source\u2019s facsimile edition with a commentary and transcription. The study is published in three languages: Hungarian, English and Croatian fulfilling the wishes of the Zagreb Archbishopric. The volume\u2019s editorial introduction can be read <a href=\"https:\/\/zti.hu\/files\/regizene\/lendulet\/A_szerkeszto_eloszava_Szoliva.pdf\"><span class=\"s2\">here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Both volumes were founded by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (project 120\u00a0643 <i>Codices and fragments. Research, reinterpretation and online publishing of late medieval musical sources<\/i>) and the book publishing tender KFB-072\/2019 of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
