The next event of the international lecture series Early Music in Central Europe: Local Elements – Transregional Connections – International Research, founded in 2020 on the initiative of our colleague Hana Vlhová-Wörner (Prague) with the participation of Eva Veselovská (Bratislava) and our research group, will take place on April 20, 2022 at 5:00 pm. This is a special occasion, as the speaker, Maria Kachmar, is a senior lecturer at the Mikola Lysenko National Music Academy in Lviv (Ukraine), an expert in Byzantine and Slavic liturgical music and notation of the 12-17th centuries. In her lecture, she presents the sources of the Ukrainian Irmologion from the 16th-19th centuries, chants, texts and notations.
The presentation can be followed via ZOOM, which requires prior registration. For registering please use the URL provided in the invitation.
