Dear Colleagues,
we cordially invite you to the International Conference of the International Musicological Society’s ‘Cantus Planus’ Research Group, which will be held online on ZOOM on 28 July at 15.00, instead of the cancelled meeting planned for Telč/Czechia in the summer of 2020. The conference is not only unusual in its form, but also in content: participants will have the opportunity to summarise the most important results of their current research topics and projects in five minutes, and to speak about their publications, accompanied by PP presentations of no more than two slides. Three members of our research group – Zsuzsa Czagány, Gabriella Gilányi and Gábriel Szoliva – will participate in the forum. They will present the Fragmenta Manuscriptorum Musicalium Hungariae Mediaevalis, a project processing fragments of Hungarian medieval music manuscripts, the Melodiarium Hungariae Medii Aevi Digitale, an initiative organizing the melody set of the complete Hungarian musical codices by genre, the Hungarian Neume Catalogue website, and the reconstruction of the 13th century Breviarium Notatum Strigoniense based on 258 fragments uncovered recently in the Metropolitanska knjižnica in Zagreb/Croatia.
