In September 2020, representants of the Prague, Bratislava and Budapest music medievalists’ research groups and the leaders of ongoing academic projects (Eva Veselovská/Bratislava, Hana Vlhová-Wörner/Prague, Zsuzsa Czagány/Budapest) have created a new virtual professional forum entitled Early Music in Central Europe: Local Elements – Transregional Connections – International Research. The Czech-Slovak-Hungarian forum will organize an online lecture series of three lectures per year and will provide a space for discussing the overlapping and complementary directions and issues of early music research in Central Europe and beyond. The opening lecture of the cycle will be given by Barbara Haggh-Huglo, Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, on 21 October 2020 at 17.00.
