A gyergyószentmiklósi kódextöredék The fragment from Gyergyószentmiklós/Gheorgheni

The first analytical description of a musical codex fragment from a Transylvanian collection was uploaded to the research group’s website through the contribution and help of Rita Magdolna Bernád, chief archivist of the Archbishopric Archives in Alba Iulia. The recently restored 15th-century antiphonal fragment kept in the Archbishopric Archives Alba Iulia, Coll. Gheorgeni is a real treasure for chant scholars: it not only helps with its liturgical content to grab hold of a local liturgy variant, but its notation is an important remnant of a local, Transylvanian musical writing tradition, which was only in hypothesis until now.
