The Fragmenta Manuscriptorium Musicalium Hungariae Mediaevalis website renewed

The website presenting, analysing, systemizing and reconstructing musical codex fragments preserved on the territory of mediaeval Hungary not only got a new appearance but also got enriched at multiple segments of its content. The static introductory texts were improved, the notations of the fragments appear in a new, standardized terminology and interpretation helping both the local and international researcher. The latter audience is also aided by the complete English version of the site. The most recent publications of the research group can be found under the Bibilotheca menu. The amount of published fragments was increased; the descriptions present the correlations of a fragment’s liturgical content, notation and melodic variant as independent case studies. We are glad to been able to reconstruct a Transylvanian antiphonal fragment kept in the archives of Gyergyószentmiklós by favour of Rita Magdolna Bernád, archivist of Gyulafehérvár (see the next entry).
